This case study covers the cleaning of the headquarters of Suzuki GB Plc based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
The buildings facade /cladding panels suffered from general weathering including algae growth / blooms and oxidation.
The project was managed liaising closely with the client; we scheduled the work to minimize any site disruption.
For this cladding cleaning project, we used two MEWPS for access, a large scissor lift ideal for the hard landscaped areas and an articulated boom (with outriggers) for the soft landscaped areas. These enabled us to carry out detailed cleaning of the cladding panels, not achievable using just the Reach and Wash window cleaning system.
The method we used was to apply a chemical to the cladding by hand, via brushes and sponges. This chemical is designed to attack dirt, oxidation and algae, eliminating algae spores from the panels. The residue was then rinsed using an industrial pressure washer.
All powder coated window / door frames were cleaned using the same method. Finally, all glasswork including windows and doors were finished using our Reach and Wash window cleaning system using purified water.
